The program in Modern Greek Studies in its present form was launched in the spring of 1995 thanks to a generous bequest of Mrs. Ethel Goltsos. Today, Greek studies is the subject of several classes at Brown University.
One of the goals of the association is to promote the Greek culture and language and help establish a Modern Greek Chair at Brown University.
